Choosing the right pair of shoes not only affects your overall look, but it can completely change the image of what you are wearing. There are certain times when sky-high heels are ideal, but other times call for something a little more classic. Regardless of the occasion, you can always find the right pair of shoes to make your look poised and put together.

Going to a job interview? Try a pair of lower heels in a more neutral color like black or bone. This ensures that you won't attract too much attention from your interviewer (save the flashier shoes for after you get the job). Check out these Kate Spade’s for a good interview look that still gives you a little personality.

Going out on a Saturday night? Have some fun with this. Go for any height you’re comfortable in and a bold color, especially if you’re wearing a little black dress. These Brian Atwood shoes spice up any neutral dress. If your dress is a little flashier, go for these Aldo bone colored heels. Wearing heels to class isn't a problem in my opinion, but there is no reason to go over the top. For a shoe that is more comfortable, but still makes a statement with a pair of jeans, try the J.Crew MacAlister booties. With spring and summer coming our way, we can finally start thinking about sandals. Wedges are always a perfect fit for dressier shorts, skirts and dresses. They are a little more casual than strappy sandals, but these Jimmy Choo’s can take you from day to night. No matter what you are doing, you can never go wrong with heels. If it were up to me, I’d sleep with mine on. They are the perfect accessory for any look and can completely transform what you are wearing.

High heels are an essential part of every fashionista’s wardrobe. There is a craftsmanship when creating heels, making them beautiful and modern, and many brands create exquisite artistic heels that can be paired with items in your closet.

Noritaka Tatehana, a Japanese designer, brings heels to new heights. There is nothing conventional about his heels, making them all the more fascinating. If you thought Christian Louboutin’s 6.3 inch Daffodiles were high, wait till you see Lady Romanesque. Towering at 18.5 inches, these are one of Tatehana’s highest pair of heels crafted. These beauties are actually heel-less, making them difficult to walk in unless you balance yourself just right.

Tatehana combines Japanese history and old culture with the modern world to come up with his collections. The shape of his heels are based on the “shoes” Japanese kids used to make using cans stacked on top of each other held together by a a cord in games. While the basis of the heels are from the old culture, Tatehana adds a modern twist. Each shoe stands out because there is no one with designs that even slightly resemble Tatehana's.

Also worth mentioning is the “Lady Pointe,” another clue that Tatehana doesn’t limit himself to the conventional idea of high-heels. His ideas are creative and innovative, combining artistic and fashion elements, so if you wear any of Tatehana’s heels, you will not go unnoticed. Check out Noritaka’s collection here.
