Hyperpop duo 100 gecs performed to a sold-out Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom on stoner holiday April 20. North By Northwestern was unable to photograph electronic opener Machine Girl because the press contact provided incorrect show times. Both the press contact and tour manager did not respond for comment.

100 gecs is known for playing unique shows at every tour stop, infusing covers, remixes, and solo projects into their sets as a duo. Producer and singer-writer Laura Les even announced she would sing “Wonderwall” by Oasis before delving into a completely different song, weaving a few lyrics of the Britpop classic throughout. Between surreal visuals, nonstop strobe lights and crazy effects and samples, the 100 gecs performance was certainly 100 times better than anticipated, just like their latest album, 10,000 gecs.
