Teenage banter echoed off the walls of the Wallis Theater Tuesday as the cast of The Wolves ran through the show before opening night this Friday. The show captures the dynamic of a women’s soccer team at practice – trash talk to their opponents, hot gossip, political conversation, and talk about periods.
“The Wolves is about a female soccer team who kind of goes through life and adolescence together but more than that it’s about female strength and empowerment and learning to love yourself amidst strong competition," said Communications sophomore Melissa Lewyn, an assistant director of the show.
The Wolves will premiere this weekend in Wirtz’s Wallis Theater. Shows run at 8 p.m. on Friday, 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sunday. The show is directed by Sarah Gitenstein and is a part of the MFA Lab Series.
