I’ve been a Brew barista since it opened Fall quarter, and for the most part, I love it. I love turning off my brain, making silly little drinks and seeing everyone’s outfits. But after several hours of work with peppy 2000s music blasting, I can get a little bored. As a sociology major, it’s impossible for me not to see social trends and patterns. Is it fair for me to judge complete strangers based on their drink order? Probably not. Am I going to do it anyway? Yes.
